Philip Dunbar (22) was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of 23-year-old Adam 'Floater' Muldoon in 2018

Hutch (31) pleaded guilty to the two assaults which took place over a 48-hour period in August 2021

The court said the appeal raises matters of “profound public importance”

At around 5am on December 16th, 2018, a group of approximately 30 armed men, some wearing balaclavas, arrived at the rural property just outside Strokestown and attacked four of the security guards present, the trial has heard. 

At the Central Criminal Court, closing speeches were made on behalf of the first two defendants. The first defendant (22) who has pleaded not guilty to rape and sexual assault.

Matusz Batiuk (33) is on trial at the Central Criminal Court, charged with the murder of Michael McDonagh

The appeals have been scheduled for two days beginning April 25th.

Ionut Cosmin Nicholescu (30) is charged with the murder of 64 year father of three, Frankie Dunne, who was found headless and dismembered on the grounds of a derelict house on the Boreenmanna Road in Cork city on December 28th, 2019.

The case has been adjourned until April 18th
